About

I see dots and connect them.

For as long as I can remember, I have arranged those dots unexpectedly. When my kindergarten teacher asked us to draw three shapes, I superimposed them with tangents; when our middle school planned a science fair, I combined three projects and set off a chain reaction with mouse traps and ping pong balls to turn on a light; for my doctoral dissertation, I explored the political and cultural role of opera across East Africa.

I have always been attracted to variety and combinations, and the twists and turns of life have taken me through many roles: lawn mower, lifeguard, student body vice president, barista, pizza delivery driver…then professional singer, voice teacher, worship leader, humanities professor, student success professional, and university administrator.

It took me a long time to navigate everything I was attracted to and recognize the commonalities beneath the surface, the strategic value I offer: seeing possibilities, driving connections, and cultivating meaning, beauty, and virtue with those around me.  And my deep curiosity in ideas, synthesis, and purpose has drawn me to co-create with others every chance I get.

Along the way, I have learned that everyone contributes new dots as we dream, design, and deliver together! And this work is increasingly important in a rapidly changing world, where meaningful connections we once knew no longer seem available.

Working with community, cultural, and academic institutions on four continents, I have walked with thousands of students and clients as they:

  • step onto professional theatrical stages

  • complete film scores

  • write racially equitable curricula

  • design educational apps

  • report on the cultural dimensions of their laboratory research

  • reorganize their work spaces and daily routines

  • and more.

Stepping beyond the walls of these institutions, I meet people where they live and where they forge paths for their own fruitful journeys:

By day, I teach singers, coach creatives and community leaders, and design interactive presentations, watching others discover tools and opportunities, imagine new connections and possibilities, and add value to their communities.

By night, I set out with my wife and three children into the rewarding worlds of zoo visits, extreme sudoku, and the trampoline in my backyard.

Let’s connect dots together.

Testimonials

"Before working with Lee, I struggled with vocal control, pitch issues, and confidence. Singing felt frustrating, and I doubted my potential. Lee transformed that experience with tailored techniques, clear guidance, and a supportive approach. My favorite part is how Lee challenges me while making every session enjoyable and empowering. His expertise helps me unlock new parts of my voice I didn’t know existed. I’ve seen incredible improvement and gained confidence in my abilities. If you want to take your singing to the next level, I can’t recommend working with Lee enough. He’s a game-changer!"
